FAQ &
Cloth Diapering 101—Setting The Record Straight:
Are cloth diapers difficult to use or inconvenient to care for and wash?
Maybe fifty years ago, but not today! Fuzzi Bunz are convenient to use and simply involve an extra few loads of laundry a week. While your machine does the laundry, you have more free time. No need to run to the store to buy diapers.
Are cloth diapers unsanitary?
Fuzzi Bunz have a two-part design, ensuring the whole diaper is thoroughly cleaned after each use. No need to swirl, soak or dunk those dirty diapers. You simply wash them in the washing machine and they’re ready to be used again within hours.
Aren’t cloth diapers bulky and ugly?
Fuzzi Bunz offer a slim fit and come in a variety of sizes to fit your baby. Many parents are delighted to see all the colour choices.
Will cloth diapers control nighttime leaks?
Yes! Fuzzi Bunz diapers have an adjustable, snug fit around the legs and waist to deter potential leaks. The patented pocket design allows you to add more absorbency into the pocket, which is especially useful at night.
Will my baby be comfortable? Will my baby feel dry?
While traditional cloth diapers feel wet and soggy, Fuzzi Bunz contain a super absorbent inner layer that pulls away wetness from your baby’s delicate skin. Unlike disposables, Fuzzi Bunz keep your baby dry naturally, and not by using chemicals. Cloth diapers are also linked to lower rates of diaper rash, so your baby may never experience the pain of a diaper rash again.
Can I Use Cloth Diapers Part Time?
Of course! Many parents are making a ‘gradual’ switch to cloth diapers or
using cloth diapers part time. Although today’s modern cloth diapers are
easy to use while travelling or away from home, some parents still prefer to
use disposable diapers from time to time. And, for brand new parents who
may be a little overwhelmed at caring for a newborn, having a few disposable
diapers handy can help to make things easier for the first couple of weeks.
We do recommend aiming to use primarily cloth diapers, though, as they are
much healthier for babies, especially sensitive newborns.
What about Department Store Cloth Diapers?
Cloth diapers sold at stores like Sears and Wal-Mart tend to be a distant
competitor to the high-quality cloth diapers sold through many online
retailers. In our experience, these cloth diapers tend to hold very little
liquid and can be significantly more frustrating to use on your baby.
On the bright side, great brands like FuzziBunz are working to have high
quality cloth diapers available to purchase from some of these larger stores
sometime in the future.
